Coaching Tools :: Stopwatch
A stopwatch that not only times rowing set pieces, but can measure your split times, spm (strokes per minute), split time memory recall feature and time up to 100 crews, can be very useful to any coxswain, coach, even race official.
The Fast Time 14
The stroke rate timer works on the basis of starting on the catch of a stroke and stopping it on the catch of the fourth stroke, e.g. you time three complete stroke cycles, you can then just read off the rating e.g. 34.5 SPM, or 37.7 SPM.
They are also excellent if you are timing races because you can time up to 100 crews, with a finishing time for each crew, and then recall the times after the last crew has been timed. (Ideally you need one, and a back-up for each race, but one would do). If you have 3 races on the course at once, then you need 3 (or ideally 6).
