Approximate Course
Tide
Low water is at 1300 at 0.1m, this is a very low spring, almost chart datum and rowers in the later heats will experience a very strong flood tide against them on the way out and enjoy a very quick run in home. I am not that familiar with Fowey but would not be surprised to see 2-3 knots of current mid tide and mid channel with such a big spring.
Once gigs are launched, trailers will be securely stored & not available again until the completion of the MB race.
Fowey Gig Club will be holding our usual BBQ with fresh butchers burgers, sausages, baguettes, home made cakes and a full range of refreshments throughout the day.
Prize giving will follow the last race.
Evening entertainment will include a live band on Town Quay. Torchlight Dinghy Procession from Bodinnick ferry and a grand Firework Display at 9.30pm.
