Report
This year Roseland Gig Club hosted their event at Portscatho in ideal racing conditions with light offshore winds and flat seas. 15 boats lined up on the start line off the beach and raced around 1.5 mile triangle course before finishing back off the beach. A few bumps at the turn marks resulted in some disqualifications but overall the racing ran well and the afternoon of racing ran to schedule.

I’m just trying to work out where the stroke rowers handle is ?
1:53 pm
Padstow cox suprised when Richard Lander pokes one in!
1:28 pm
I think as he was preventing certain damage to his boat, the Padstow cox is well within his rights to let go of his ropes.
Richard Lander should have been and was disqualified.
1:13 pm
Yep, your fender looks fine to me.
7:49 pm
MIND YOUR VESSEL!!!
7:42 pm
I know championship darts were on this weekend but did not know the term bulls eye were in the rules of the CPGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That —— cox of Richard Lander has not only wiped me out but my ropes have gone misssing as well !!!!!!!
Verdict Big D/Q on this evidence for both crew’s. ie Cox R/L number 5 oar infringement and the cox P/S not holding on to his ropes.
To all crew the best of luck at Newquay and have some fun. the M&M’s must be coming my way yippee!!
Great photograph Toby of the incident.
