French Sea Rowing Championships :: Invite

My name is Neil McKenzie and I’m a Sea rower with Société Bautique de La Ciotat.

This year we are hosting the 13th French Club Sea Rowing Championships which will take place from the 9th to 11th of October here in La Ciotat.

While the 9th and 10th of October are for the French Championships, on the 11th we will be hosting an international club sea rowing event.

We already have inscriptions from various European teams and we would love to have some British rowers here. The course will be 12km long and will take in the sights of the bay of La Ciotat including a tour of the Isle of Vert. Weather conditions are generally favourable and the water is reasonably warm in October.

We are well served by both Toulon & Marseilles airports.

The race will be in the following categories:

• Senior Male
• Senior Female
• Veteran Male
• Veteran Female
• Junior Male
• Junior Female

And in the following classes:

• 4+ / 4 (Coxed fours)
• 2X / 2 (Coxless Pair)
• 1X / 1 (Single Skull)

If we are contacted soon enough in advance, boats can be loaned.
