The World Pilot Gig Championships are the biggest event of the year. Racing takes place on the waters off St. Mary’s, Isles of Scilly, and the spectacle attracts thousands of rowers and supporters to the islands for a weekend of intense rowing and associated revelry!

Hi, I was wondering if a Dutch Lady I briefly met at Schipol Airport flying to Birmingham on the 26th April, made it successfully and safely to the gig racing. The flight was cancelled, and she along with everyone else, was struggling to find alternative flights to arrive in Penzance on time for her departure on the Scillonian ? No other reason other than just making sure she arrived safely, and it would be interesting to know where she came in the race ?
